Website speed test
Type an address and in about half a minute you will see how fast the page loads on a phone and on a computer, what slows it down and where to start. The test runs on Google PageSpeed Insights.
Phone
This usually takes 15 to 40 seconds.
Computer
This usually takes 15 to 40 seconds.

Reference number:
What the numbers mean
The score from 0 to 100 sums up the lab test: 90 and above is fast, 50 to 89 has room to improve, below 50 is slow. The phone score is almost always lower than the computer one — the test simulates an average smartphone on a mobile network, which is how most people open a site.
- Largest content (LCP)
- When the largest thing on the first screen appears — usually the main image or the headline. It is the moment a visitor decides the page has loaded. Good up to 2.5 s (1.2 s in the lab test on a computer)
- Layout stability (CLS)
- How much elements move while the page loads. A button that jumps away from a finger costs clicks. Good up to 0.1
- Response to input (INP)
- How quickly the page responds to a tap or a click. It is measured on real visitors; the lab test shows TBT instead — how long the browser is busy and cannot respond. Good up to 200 ms (TBT: 200 ms on a phone, 150 ms on a computer)
- First content (FCP)
- When the visitor sees anything other than a blank screen. Good up to 1.8 s on a phone, 0.9 s on a computer
- Speed Index
- How quickly the visible part of the screen fills in. Good up to 3.4 s on a phone, 1.3 s on a computer
QUESTIONS
Questions about the speed test
What is a good PageSpeed score?
90 and above is good, 50 to 89 has room to improve, below 50 is slow. More important than the score are the three Core Web Vitals from real visitors: LCP within 2.5 seconds, INP within 200 milliseconds and CLS within 0.1.
Why is the phone score lower than the computer one?
The phone test simulates an average smartphone with a slower processor on a mobile network, so the same page scores lower. That is how most people open it — look at the phone result first.
Why does the score change a little every time?
The lab test loads the page from scratch each time, and the server, the network and outside services never answer in exactly the same way. A difference of a few points is normal. We keep each result for 24 hours, so testing the same address again within that time shows the saved measurement and when it was taken.
What is the difference between the lab test and real visitors?
The lab test is one page load under fixed conditions. Real-visitor data is collected by Chrome over the last 28 days. Google shows it only for sites with enough visits, and it is what Google assesses Core Web Vitals on.
Does speed affect ranking in Google?
Yes. Core Web Vitals are among the signals Google uses to assess pages, especially when several sites have similar content. The bigger effect is on visitors, though: a slow page on a phone loses people before they see what you sell.
Who sees the address I test?
Our server sends it to Google PageSpeed Insights — your browser never talks to Google and we send nothing about you. The result is kept for 24 hours, and we do not record who asked.
