Cookie policy
LAST CHANGED ·Cookies are small records a site leaves in your browser. Below is every category and every record inside it — listed from the configuration the site actually runs on, so the table cannot drift away from the code. Your choice is kept in the browser and you can change it at any time with the button at the bottom of this page.
Necessary
Keep the site working: session, form protection, your choice here and whether you have already been through the home page's entrance. They cannot be switched off.
Always on. They cannot be switched off — without them the contact form cannot be sent.
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
XSRF-TOKEN / tb-technology-session | Form protection, and tying your requests together. | session |
cookie_consent | Remembers this choice. After that the site asks again. | 12 months |
tb_entrance_seen | Remembers that in this tab you have already been through, or skipped, the home page's entrance, so it does not play again. It never leaves your browser. | until you close the tab |
tb_brief_draft_site / _design / _software | Your draft of a website, design or software brief, only if you pressed “Save the draft in this browser”. It never leaves your browser; the same tool deletes it. | until you delete it |
tb_stock_count | An unfinished count from the inventory accuracy test, only if you pressed “Save the count in this browser”. It never leaves your browser; the same tool deletes it. | until you delete it; if older than 7 days, until you next open the page |
Analytics
Show us which pages get read and where the scroll stops. Our own system sends nothing to a third party, keeps no IP address and builds no profile. With this consent the site also loads Google Analytics from Google Ireland Ltd — data about your visit reaches Google. With this consent the site also loads Microsoft Clarity from Microsoft — heatmaps and recordings of clicks, scrolling and pointer movement, with fields masked; data about your visit reaches Microsoft. It never loads on the free tools' pages.
Off until you switch them on. “Accept all” switches them on.
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_rv | An anonymous browser id, so one person is not counted as ten. | 12 months |
_rs | Ties the pages of one visit together. | 30 minutes |
_rvp | A server-issued signature of the browser id: only the browser carrying it can download or erase its own data. Not readable by scripts. | 12 months |
tb_x | Remembers which variant of an A/B test you were shown, so a later visit does not show you another. Not readable by scripts. | 12 months |
_ga | Set by Google Analytics: tells one visitor from another. | 2 years |
_ga_NZPPHP7F12 | Set by Google Analytics: keeps the state of the visit for this site. | 2 years |
_clck | Set by Microsoft Clarity: keeps the browser's anonymous Clarity id and its settings for this site. | 1 year |
_clsk | Set by Microsoft Clarity: joins the pages of one visit into one recording. | 1 day |
CLID | Set by Microsoft Clarity on a Microsoft domain: when Clarity first saw this browser, on any site that uses Clarity. | 1 year |
Session recording
Records an anonymous playback of your visit — mouse, scrolling and clicks — for up to three minutes, so we can see where the site gets in the way. Fields, what you type and anything marked private are never recorded. Deleted after 30 days.
Off until you switch them on yourself. “Accept all” does NOT switch them on.
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
_rv / _rs | A recording is kept for 30 days and deleted when consent is withdrawn. | as above |
Marketing
Would measure whether an ad led to an enquiry, and show the Google map on the Contact page — it loads from Google only with this consent or when you press “Show the map”. The site sets no other cookie of this kind. With this consent the site also loads Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — data about your visit reaches Meta. With this consent Microsoft Clarity also ties the visit to Microsoft's advertising identifier (MUID) — data about your visit reaches Microsoft.
Off until you switch them on. “Accept all” switches them on.
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
NID, CONSENT (google.com) | Set by Google when the map on the Contact page is shown. | up to 6 months |
_fbp | Set by the Meta Pixel: tells browsers apart so an ad can be tied to an enquiry. | 3 months |
MUID | Set by Microsoft on its own domain: tells apart the browsers that visit Microsoft sites — for advertising, analytics and running its services. | 1 year |
MR | Set by Microsoft on its own domain: whether to refresh the MUID. | 7 days |
SM | Set by Microsoft on its own domain: keeps the MUID in step across Microsoft's domains. | session |
ANONCHK | Set by Microsoft on its own domain: whether the MUID was passed to the ANID advertising cookie. Clarity does not use ANID, so the value is always 0. | 10 minutes |
Changing your choice
The “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of this page opens the bar again. You can also delete every cookie from your browser settings — the site will simply ask again.
What we do not do
We use no reCAPTCHA and we load no maps or videos from other domains before you agree. The contact form is protected from spam by a hidden field and a rate limit, not by an outside service. Our own analytics run on the same server and send nothing to a third party; if we switch on an outside service, it is described under “Transfers outside the EU” in the privacy policy and in this policy — below this text, for as long as it is on.
Outside services switched on today
Besides our own analytics, after your consent in the cookie bar the site loads the services below. Each sits in the category named beside it and sets the cookies listed.
