Google Ads for an online store is the fastest way onto Google's first page by tomorrow — and the fastest way to spend a budget on people who will never buy. What separates the two is the keywords, the exclusions, and whether anyone reads the account every week. We read it, and we report what each order or enquiry costs, keyword by keyword: that is performance marketing — the budget goes where the orders are.

T&B Technology is a digital agency in Bulgaria. We run Google Ads for online stores and for service businesses in any trade: in 2023 for Avtokompleks Haris, a car service, and Transfer Bucharest, a transport company; in 2024 for PL2BG, a delivery service from Poland; and for Arte, a Bulgarian food producer, alongside their social media. Keywords that sell in ads go on to SEO and AI search, the unpaid side of our marketing and search work.

Google Shopping, Search and remarketing: what we run for an online store

In Google Ads for an online store we run three campaign types. Search campaigns show on the words typed just before ordering, not while browsing. Shopping shows the product's picture and price from the feed; when we also handle the online store development, that feed comes straight from the catalogue. Dynamic remarketing shows the same products to people who viewed them or abandoned a cart. Once the account has orders, we often merge the three into one Performance Max campaign.

Google Ads or Facebook ads: which works for your store

Google Ads works when customers know what they want and type it: “black leather boots, size 39”. Facebook and Instagram ads, part of our social media management, show the product before anyone searches for it: a new store, a new brand. Two figures from those ads: Alesimo, an online shoe store, +220% sales in two months, and Demetra Shoes, over BGN 25,000 turnover in the first month of ads. Most stores need both.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

What Google Ads for an online store includes.

Keyword research

Keywords typed by people ready to buy, plus negative keywords that shut out the merely curious before you pay for their clicks.

Search, Shopping and remarketing

Text ads on buying keywords, product ads from your feed through Merchant Center, and reminders for products people viewed.

Conversion tracking

Orders, calls and form enquiries tracked in Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 before the first ad runs, with Consent Mode v2.

Google Business Profile

Opening hours, photos, missing details and review replies, so people call you from Google Maps. We rebuilt and completed the profile of Avtokompleks Haris.

Landing page

A campaign page where the site has none that fits: fast, with one call to action, because Google rates the page behind the ad too.

Weekly changes, monthly report

Changes go into the account every week; the monthly report shows spend, orders, and cost per enquiry and per order by keyword.

HOW IT RUNS

How Google Ads for an online store moves through four stages, without a hand-off.

  1. 01

    Goal and budget

What counts as a result — order, call or enquiry — and what it may cost without eating the margin.

  2. 02

    The account

In your name, new or existing; inside it we set up the structure, keywords, exclusions and conversion tracking.

  3. 03

    Launch

Ads go live once Google approves them; for the first two weeks we test copy and gather data.

  4. 04

    Optimisation

Every week we move budget to the keywords and products with the cheapest orders and stop those that only spend.

PRICE

How much do Google Ads cost for an online store, and how much budget do I need?

Google Ads has two separate costs: the ad budget you pay Google, and our monthly fee. Clicks are priced in an auction, by competing bids and by the quality of your ad and its page. The budget should buy at least a few dozen clicks a week on keywords that lead to orders; your margin sets the ceiling. With made-up numbers: at €20 margin and one buyer in 50 visitors, any click above €0.40 loses money. Our fee follows the scope; how we price it is on the pricing page.

QUESTIONS

Google Ads for an online store: what people ask most.

How soon do Google Ads show results?

Your ads start showing once Google approves them, usually within one working day. The first useful data — click-through rate and cost per enquiry for each keyword — arrives after one to two weeks, sooner on a bigger budget. For the first month we rework the account every week; after that the changes get smaller. SEO is slower, but it keeps working when the ad budget stops.

What do you need from me to launch Google Ads?

Three things: access to your Google Ads account, or a new one opened in your name; access to the website, so we can install conversion tracking; and the prices and margins of the products you want to sell first. The margin sets how much winning a new customer may cost; if customers order again, we work from their value over time, not the first order. A Shopping campaign also needs a product feed.

Can we advertise without a website?

You can with a landing page, but the result is weaker. Usually we build the page alongside the campaign. For a local business — a car service, a clinic, a transfer company — calls also come from the Google Maps profile, so we sort that out too. An online store needs a site of its own: the order happens there. A slow or dated site raises the cost of each click and lowers sales; then we start with website speed optimisation or website development.

What is Google Shopping, and do I need it?

Google Shopping ads show a product's picture, price and store name in search results. You need them if you sell physical products; a service business does not. Google announced Shopping ads for Bulgaria for 2026 and is opening them in stages, so before the first campaign we check whether they are open for your account. Until then, products run in Search campaigns. The requirements are the same as anywhere: a Merchant Center account and a feed whose prices, stock and images match the site, plus clear shipping and returns terms.

Whose is the Google Ads account?

Yours. The campaigns, the keywords, the conversions and the history stay inside it. We work with access you can revoke at any time. If you have no account yet, we open one in your name.

Do I pay the ad budget to you?

No. The budget goes straight to Google. Our fee is for the work. Google charges the clicks to your own account, and the monthly report puts spend and orders side by side, so you can see what advertising costs per sale. If an offer quotes budget and fee as one sum, ask how much of it reaches Google.

Can you take over a Google Ads account that is already running?

Yes, and we delete nothing: Google's automated bidding learns from the account's history. The audit starts where budgets usually leak: searches with no negative keywords (“free”, “second-hand”, “what is”), conversions counted twice or not at all, ads pointing at the home page instead of the product, and products disapproved in the feed. Changes go live once you approve them, and the first report compares the new weeks with the old on cost per enquiry and per order.
