Magazine design

The job is a cover and inside pages for an Italian weekly magazine. We aim for a more striking cover and for inside pages that break from the usual layout with an element of their own.

We start from the reader: no walls of unformatted text, but information that has been sifted and set out in photographs, paragraphs and short sentences, so that every reader finds something. On the cover the blue-toned portrait stands in front of the masthead, with the cover lines in white. Inside, a travel feature is laid out as a mosaic of photographs, text columns and a caption box, with a red section tab at the top of each page.
