> Website maintenance on a monthly plan: a weekly check, backups, updates, uptime monitoring and a monthly report — including sites we did not build.

Website maintenance is a monthly service in which someone keeps your site running: checking it regularly, updating the platform and plugins, renewing certificates, keeping backups and telling you what was found and fixed. At T&B Technology, that means a specialist working through a checklist every week and a monthly report, on a monthly plan with no minimum term, whoever built the site.

The credentials stay in your name and we work through delegated access. Small fixes are part of the fee; anything larger is quoted before work starts. If you stop the plan, you get the latest backup and the report, and our access is revoked.

Sites break quietly: a certificate expires, a form stops sending, a backup stalls. Most maintenance is sold by the hour; we sell a checklist worked through every week and a report that shows what happened. Sites on our own platform are maintained by the people who wrote the code, and the updates come from us, tested before they ship, not from dozens of third-party plugins. Separately, we run a website security test: simulated attacks and a report with the findings by severity.

Maintenance after launch is part of our work on Ap-point, a holiday-apartment platform for Konto Consult; the Escalera 05 corporate site; and the Laser Point online store. What moves the monthly fee is set out on the pricing page.

## What is included

- Weekly check — A specialist works through a checklist: broken links, missing images, forms, layout. Small fixes are part of the fee.
- Uptime monitoring — Checks that the site responds and alerts us when it stops. Outages reach us from the monitor, not a customer.
- Backups — Database and file copies to restore the site if it goes down. If you leave, the latest copy is yours.
- Updates — Platform, modules, plugins and PHP version: updated on time and tested, so nothing breaks. We watch the SSL expiry date.
- Monthly report — What was checked, what was fixed, what comes next, and which jobs need a separate quote.
- A monthly plan — Billed monthly, with no minimum term. New features and redesigns are quoted separately, before they start.

## How it works

01. 01 Review — Hosting, code, backups, access. We tell you what we found and what we will watch.
02. 02 Onboarding — We switch on monitoring, take the first backup, get delegated access and run one full check.
03. 03 Every week — We work through the list: links, images, forms, certificates, updates — and fix the small things.
04. 04 Every month — We send the report and flag what comes next. Anything outside maintenance is quoted first.

## Questions and answers

**How much does website maintenance cost?**
The fee for website maintenance is monthly and depends on the platform, the size of the site, whether it sells online and how many languages it runs in. We name the figure after reviewing the hosting and the code, not from a table of hours: two sites with the same number of pages can need very different care. What moves it is set out on the pricing page.

**What does website maintenance include?**
Website maintenance with us covers a weekly run through our checklist, uptime monitoring, backups, updates to the platform and plugins, certificate renewals, small fixes and a monthly report. New features, redesigns, an extra language and larger rebuilds sit outside the fee and are quoted before we start. A slow site is a separate job: website speed optimisation.

**How often do you check the site, and what do you look at?**
We check the site every week, against a checklist: whether the pages open, whether any links are broken or images missing, whether the forms send, how the layout holds on phone and desktop, when the certificates expire and what updates are waiting. Between checks, uptime monitoring watches whether the site answers and alerts us when it stops. Whatever we find and fix goes into the monthly report.

**Do you back up the site?**
Yes, a backup of the database and the files is part of website maintenance, and it is what we restore the site from if it goes down. When we restore, we check the content, not just that the page opens: we compare the tables and read real text on the site. A site restored with the wrong character set still loads but shows gibberish, and a row count alone will not reveal it.

**What happens if the site goes down?**
When the site goes down, the monitor alerts us, we find out whether the cause is the hosting or the code, and we bring the site back, from the latest backup if needed. We tell you what happened, and the monthly report records when, why and what we changed.

**Will you maintain a site you did not build, including WordPress?**
Yes, we maintain sites built by others, WordPress included, after a review of the hosting, the platform and the plugins. The review shows what we find (outdated versions, plugins without updates, missing backups, credentials in someone else's name) and what we would fix first. If something needs fixing before we take the site on, it gets its own quote.

**Who owns the site and holds the credentials while you maintain it?**
The site and the credentials are yours: they are in your name, and we work through delegated access. If you stop the plan, you get the latest backup and the report, and our access is revoked. The questions to ask any developer about code and access are in our guide on how to choose a web development company.

**Is there a minimum term, and can I cancel?**
There is no minimum term: you can stop the plan whenever you decide, with one month's notice. Stopping does not touch the site: it keeps running, there is simply nobody checking it for you.
